French pastries, first time...

I bought some expensive French pastries from a local hotel at a 70% discount a few days ago. I've always wanted to try some of those and it's finally my chance to do it... I mean eat it.

These are real stuff, I mean, real French pastries by actual French baker, except that part of the ingredients here were from my country. Anyway, the peanut-butter cake (top left, the huge cake), tasted really good, but I have to share with my brother, else he would go: "Mom!"...

Never mind that, the next one also tasted nice (top right, middle-size cake), and they uses a lot of white chocolate here. Although the outer layer doesn't taste good enough and somewhat feels kind of weird in mouth, (maybe they made this since morning well, that's why it's sold at a 70% discounts), the filling are good, lots of strawberries jam in there, my favorite...

The last one at the bottom, the one shaped like 3 piece of burger in a row was kind of a surprise to me, because they didn't taste like how a mini burger should be tasted like. Anyway, it tasted just like any other white chocolate burger (white chocolate instead of meat slice in between the bread).

I'm really suck at this... food review, after all, this is my first.

Art of Break-dances...

I'm not exactly a fan of break-dance, I prefer locking. But watching my brother doing his break-dance moves just make me wanna try it too. However, according to him, I'm too old to start break-dancing. So I'm just going to taking the photo of him break-dancing for fun. The following images are taken based on a few styles from the Rule of Thirds:

Leading Line

Foreground Frame

Shape and Pattern

This is my favorite piece among all the 7 shown here, the best if I must say. My photography lecturer, Chemad said that capturing a moment is more interesting than capturing a hot model posing in front of a building. And he was right, this was indeed the first good moment that I have captured so far, plus the black and white effect which truly emphasize the whole image.

The 2 foreground frames photos (above) are not bad too, especially the first one, a combination of black 'n white (maximum black), air-chair, and darker shadow.

Reflection

Shadow

My second favorite piece, though it doesn't show much of a moment of the talent here, but anyone who sees it, may relate it to a kind of moment where a guy is doing a hand-stand while having his legs wide open. My tripod was kind of tall, so I'll have to lie on the floor, lower myself as low as possible while maintaining a stability to find the most suitable angle for this shot.

Silhouette

I've tried my best to take silhouette photos in the past few days before this shot. I was testing on the angle, sun-light, and exposure. After making sure that everything is right, I took this piece while having my brother doing another head-stand. The results was not as good as I had expected. During the time of the shooting, i was thinking: 'err, what the heck... I'll just go with this one', and I thought it was good and dark enough. It seems like that (dark enough) when I'm just looking at it through my camera, but when I brought it up to the big screen, I can clearly see a tint of grayish-white formed on my brother's shirt. Despite that, this is still consider a silhouette right? Just so you know, I'm still a beginner...
